Modders are working on the fan campaign “The Path to Menzoberranzan”, which should be an unofficial expansion of the popular RPG from the Larian studio.
The new campaign takes place outside of the main story. Baldur’s Gate 3 and offers completely new characters, plot and voice acting. As the name suggests, the plot takes the player into dark metropolis Menzoberranzanknown from the universe Forgotten Realms – connoisseurs and veterans will certainly be interested in recalling the series of books Dark Elf R.A. Salvatore.
The team is currently planning to release alpha version with prologue V first half of 2026. The project is still in development and the authors are looking for additional participants and backups, regularly informing fans through their Discord.
Bye Larian Studios series already Baldur’s Gate closed and working on two new projects, the community is actively making sure that the world of Faerûn has a place to return to.
This is a really big and ambitious project, but if you have already drowned in Baldur’s Gate 3 hundreds of hours and you still miss epic adventures full of dialogue, intrigue and D20 rolls, Path to Menzoberranzan he’ll probably fix it soon.
