Kingdom Come: Deliverance II, released in February of this year, managed to increase the number of visitors to Czech monuments and territories in which the game takes place, following the example of the first part. Lucy Bidlasova, a spokeswoman for the National Monuments Institute, confirmed this trend, which has been observed for a long time. At the same time, the players’ steps are the most ordinary. they were heading to the ruins of Trosky Castlewhich this year was visited by 119,806 people, which is 30,000 more than last year.
“Previously, we had visitors aged 20 to 35, which is not so common now. Because this age group often attends children’s tours, or night tours, fairs and the like. But this year they brought together the largest group of visitors in Troska.” said Lucia Bidlasova, regional representative of the National Institute of Monuments.
At least some representatives of the National Monuments Institute when publishing the game they looked rather warily about a possible increase in unruly visitors. However, a spokeswoman for the NPÚ said the exact opposite had happened and described the game’s fans as very disciplined and empathetic visitors.
“Thank you to the Kingdom Come fans who visited the castle in a very disciplined, very nice and welcoming manner, with the greatest respect for the fact that it is a national cultural monument.” the spokeswoman said.
“There were various concerns about whether they might be able to capture the castle during its closure, whether they might be able to descend our walls in some kind of disguise, and the like. But it turned out that these were some of the most disciplined and very sensitive visitors who even tried to help the castle in their free time.” Beadlas added.
Kingdom Come: Deliverance II is available on PC (Steam), PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S. From the point of view of the near future, it is worth recalling what is approaching. Introducing the final story expansion entitled Mysteria Ecclesiae, which is published on November 11th.
