If you’re a fan of the original Pillars of Eternity from Obsidian, we have some exciting news for you. The studio announced the appearance of a turn-based mode in the first part of this series.
You can try this in the second part, subtitled Deadfire. Public trials will begin in doubles November 5th on PC. The developers have taken note of the feedback from Part 2 and will make significant improvements to ensure a smoother experience.
One of the changes should be, for example, changing weapons or drinking a potion without losing a move. Combat should also take place at a much faster pace than in the second game to make the game more dynamic and exciting. The test version should serve not only to debug bugs, but also to receive feedback from players, so that the studio can then make further changes or modify existing mechanics that may not be balanced. After all, the developers warn that the beta version may contain errors, so we’ll see how it catches on among players.
