Artificial intelligence is nothing new for Krafton. We’ve already seen it used in NPC behavior and the creation of new outfits in InZoi, and it’s also supposed to take care of the unpredictable behavior of the leviathan monster in the upcoming survival game Subnautica 2.

But Crafton wants much more. Its CEO Kim Chang Han said they will begin reorganizing their development and management teams to make artificial intelligence a key tool for solving problems and stimulating creativity. The company plans to build its own GPU clusters at a cost of about 100 billion Korean won (more than $69 million), which should serve as the technical basis for developing systems capable of independent planning, analysis and learning. These are the so-called AI agents.
