Russia has continued its bloody invasion of Ukraine for three years. Not only the residents themselves are suffering, but also a number of gaming companies. She’s one of them frogswho had to postpone the sequel to the dark Lovecraft-inspired game currently in development, Sinking City 2.
The sequel to this dark game was supposed to be released later this year. But now the developers have issued a statement that due to the ongoing conflict in Ukraine, they had to postpone the release until the first half of next year.
“While we haven’t given a specific release date, we know many of you were expecting a 2025 launch, just like us. However, our pace of development has been impacted by ongoing challenges related to the war in Ukraine, including frequent drone and missile attacks, power outages, and the need to continually adapt to unstable conditions.” explains the studio.
“Instead of rushing to achieve a goal that no longer makes sense, we are taking the time necessary to complete the game properly and will announce a new date as soon as we are sure of it. This extra time also gives us the opportunity to hone our first ever Survival Horror experience. Moving from decades of developing investigative adventures to a genre built on tension, pacing, combat and atmosphere has been both exciting and challenging, and we want to make sure every part of it is great to play.” continues.
“We cannot thank you enough for your patience, support and understanding. By taking this extra time, we will be able to deliver the experience we envisioned from the start – immersive, atmospheric and deeply unsettling in every way.” stocks.
