Today, the famous insider Tom Henderson for his magazine Insider Gaming brought the first information about the upcoming PlayStation 6 console as the next generation of Sony home games. This is not about reporting or other important aspects, but many players are still satisfied.
Despite the assumptions that the deterioration of the physical copies of games compared to digital indicators, the next generation Sony can completely abandon the mechanics to play not only game discs, but also DVDs and films or Blu-ray series. Henderson claims that in accordance with several sources, that for obvious reasons they wanted to remain anonymous, PS6 should offer removable mechanics.
According to one source, even the mechanic should be firmly solved, if anything does not change in the last minute. This is due to the sales of a removable mechanics for the slide version of the PS5, which has reached the goals of the Sony Game division. In any case, the return to the classic, attached mechanics should not be withheld from the cost of higher production and transport, moreover, during a constant threat of imported cells.
They say that these conditions are affected by the overall design of PlayStation 6, which is supposed, supposedly easier with an emphasis on efficiency, whether it is size or weight. In any case, the removable mechanics brings the client wider options, since it can only purchase the console itself and buy mechanics later. At the same time, nothing prevents him from buying both at the same time, which mainly replaces the classic console with mechanics.
Henderson does not mention anything about whether this will be a completely new mechanics or the same model as Slim PlayStation 5 now. But since the PS6 will probably have a significantly different design with which the mechanic is still connected, you can expect the first option.
We will wait for the PlayStation 6 itself. The speculation says that it will not reach the market earlier than at the end of 2027.
