Variable refresh rate (abbreviated as VRR) will be part of the latest console update. prefix 5which comes in a few days.
After downloading and installing the VRR update andautomatically enabled in supported gameswhen the PS5 is connected to an HDMI 2.1 VRR compatible TV or computer monitor. VRR can be disabled in system settings, Display & Video tab.
“On HDMI 2.1 compatible TVs and computer monitors, VRR dynamically syncs the display refresh rate to the PS5’s graphics output. This improves the visual performance of PS5 games by minimizing or eliminating visual artifacts such as frame rates and screen copy issues.” describes the new Sony.
Thanks to VRR, he will play many games on PS5. smootherbecause scenes are rendered smoothly, graphics look sharper, and input lag is reduced. Previously released PS5 games can be fully optimized for VRR with a patch, and future games may include VRR launch support.
It will also be possible to use variable refresh rate for PS5 games that do not support it.. This may improve image quality in some games. If this results in unexpected visual effects, you can disable this option at any time.
“Please note that results may vary depending on the TV you are using, the game you are playing, and the visual mode you have selected for that game (if it supports multiple modes).” Sony says.
