Dragon Age: The Veilguard has 1.5 million players. But EA expected 3 million players. The publisher is not reporting sales as the game has been part of the EA Play Pro subscription since release. So the actual number of copies sold is likely even lower.

Because of these results, EA adjusted its earnings forecasts for the quarter and full year. Revenue for the quarter is expected to reach $2.215 billion, compared with about $7 billion for the full year.

“In the third quarter, we continued to deliver quality games and experiences across our portfolio. Unfortunately, both Dragon Age and EA Sports FC 25 did not live up to our expectations.” said Andrew Wilson, CEO of EA. As for EA Sports FC 25, the company is hoping that a recently released major update will improve the game’s performance in the coming months.
