In December, we informed you about rumors that a remake of the role-playing game The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion, the original version of which was released in 2006, is being prepared. Then the leader with the nickname Extas1 claimed that this was a remake. Chinese studio Virtuos is workingwhich is currently completing a remake of Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater in collaboration with Konami.
These assumptions were fueled by the technical director of the mentioned studio himself, who added a mention of development of an as yet unannounced remake. Fans’ hopes are mainly driven by the upcoming Xbox Developer Direct presentation, which will take place on January 23.
Microsoft representatives themselves said that the event, in addition to the already announced games DOOM: The Dark Ages, South of Midnight and Clair Obscur: Expedition 33, will bring one unspecified surprise. Whether this mysterious game is actually Oblivion running on Unreal Engine 5, we don’t know for sure yet.
