Don’t expect a “Skibidi” or a “hawk-too.”
Sam WinklerNarrative Director for the recently premiered Borderlands 4 on the X Network. he showedthat in the fourth episode they are trying to reduce the amount of so-called “toilet” humor. “I’m not saying there are no toilets in the game, but if they hear the word ‘Skibidi’ under my watch, I’ll cry,” he wrote, referring to the Skibidi Toilet meme.
Even a viral interjection won’t work hawk tua. “[Novinář] Paul Tassi joked that we would have a Hawk 2A weapon, and a colleague asked me if it was real. I wanted to stick my hand into the garbage chute,” Winkler describes.
Sam Winkler also worked as one of the writers for Borderlands 3, but, in his opinion, the game went too far with “toilet” humor. “I can’t say much about the content of Borderlands 4, but I still stand by my criticism of Borderlands 3’s overabundance of toilet humor.”
Borderlands 4 will be released next year PC, PlayStation 5 And Xbox series.
