Developers from the Croatian studio Croteam together with the publisher Devolver Digital announced remaster of the puzzle game The Talos Principal. Specifically, we are talking about the vaunted first part, released in 2014 on computers.
However, the game later became available on all major consoles, as well as on mobile platforms with Android and iOS systems. The recently announced enhanced version, subtitled Reawakened, will primarily offer more modern and detailed graphics that Unreal Engine 5 will take care.
The second part, released last year, also works on this technology, so the remaster of the first part should at least come close to its visual design. However, in the trailer attached below, studio representatives also entice a completely new chapter called “In the Beginning,” which will offer additional puzzles and another part of the story.
In addition to the base game and the aforementioned new chapter, the remaster will also include the Road to Gehenna expansion. Talos Principle: Awakening will be released early 2025 on PC (Steam) and PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S consoles. Following the example of the original version, domestic players can count on official Czech localization in the form of subtitles and interface.
