Chinese Tencent introduced its own Horizon clone

The Chinese company Tencent announced new game called Light of Motiram. The studio behind the title is Polaris Quest, which invites you into a large open world controlled by colossal machines. If this theme and setting reminds you of the famous Horizon series from Sony and Guerrilla Games, then you are absolutely not mistaken.

The trailer attached below at first glance shows obvious inspiration from this brand, which in some areas it comes down to unambiguous copying. This is especially noticeable if you look at the appearance of the game character and the design of individual cars and the environment.

However, it is important to note that Light of Motiram, instead of a narrative narrative bets mainly on survival mechanics and craftingwhich will complement the battles with the aforementioned mechanical opponents. In particular, the visual similarities to Horizon are confirmed by the gameplay footage embedded below, which largely focuses on gathering raw materials, building shelters, and combat.

Light of Motiram will be released in 2025 on PC (Steam), PlayStation 5 and mobile platforms with Android and iOS systems.
