Pikmin for GameCube is one of the cutest survival games you’ll ever play. As Captain Olimar, you are shipwrecked on an alien planet and must rely on cute little flower creatures to help you find the missing parts of your ship. You only have thirty in-game days to find thirty parts. It sounds like a challenge, but if you plan your time well, the game won’t be too difficult. So you probably got one of two relatively happy endings.
But what happens if you find less than 25 pieces? In this case, you will find a darker and somewhat disturbing ending. Olimar tries to leave the planet, but his ship explodes upon takeoff. To make matters worse, the Pikmin who had been helping him throughout the game transported him to their Bow, where they turned him into a human-Pikmin hybrid. Instead of a triumphant return home, Olimar turns out to be a strange flower creature, which looks slightly tragicomic.
