The new simulator has surpassed a number of AAA games.
Developers from Giants Software yesterday released a new part of the Farming Simulator series, which has already shown in the past that the simulator genre is definitely not a minor issue. At the moment, the latest Farming Simulator 22 has managed over the years sell over 6 million copiesand this is a value that any “standard” AAA game would not be ashamed of.
Early numbers from Steam indicate that Farming Simulator 25 could achieve at least the same level of success. The new farming simulator began to be played immediately after the official release on Steam. at one point more than 126 thousand players. Games like Dragon Age: The Veilguard (89K players) or EA Sports FC 25 (110K players) haven’t reached such high numbers since their release.
However, it is important to note in this comparison that unlike the games mentioned and most other AAA games, Farming Simulator has historically largest player base on computers. Figures for console platforms are traditionally not published, so we can only guess how Giants Software is doing on them.
However, according to Steam data, it is already clear that copies sold this time will amount to millions. Farming Simulator 25 is available on PC (Steam) and PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S consoles.
