Horizon Zero Dawn is on the list of the best games a modern gamer can play. The unique concept of a dystopian future has captivated millions of players. And the Dutch studio Guerrilla Games, together with Gobo, decided to add several thousand more to these millions with the help of a family adaptation of LEGO Horizon Adventures. The new LEGO adventure wants to appeal to two groups of players from the very first moment: children and enthusiastic fans of the adventure game Zero Dawn. Although the story and gameplay had to be cut down significantly, it tries to maintain the familiar feel of the series.
But LEGO Horizon Adventures had a difficult task ahead of them. It is quite possible that while children are celebrating the adaptation, more experienced players will already find some oversight under the guise of amusing tinsel.
LEGO Horizon Adventures is an adventure game where adapts the original 2017 game called Horizon Zero Dawn.. Just like the original, it’s an action-packed story starring Aloy as she battles enemy machines and crazed cultists as she discovers corners of a devastated world. Everything is just smaller, simpler, but also much funnier. LEGO games have always relied on humorous storytelling, and Horizon Adventures is certainly no exception.
The fate of the world lies in the hands of Aloy, who not only saves the world, but also searches for her own mother. Together with other friends such as the wise Thersa, the chaotic Varl or the warlike Erend, you will go into battle against Helis and the so-called Buried Shadow, which is trying to drive the human race from the surface of the earth. The story in this case is very simple and ignores a number of important points of the original title. Including Guy.
But that doesn’t mean it doesn’t make sense or that I, as a Zero Dawn fan, will somehow get tired of it. From the first moment it is obvious what the game wants. And this is especially interesting and entertaining. Although the LEGO games were originally characterized by goofy facial humor, LEGO Horizon Adventures also does a good job with spoken dialogue.which not only poke fun at their own narrative, but also at commonly used game mechanics.
