Jesse “EveryGameGuru” Keigin regularly streams pirated copies of Switch games on YouTube and Twitch. Starting in 2022, it was scheduled to stream at least 10 games this way, more than 50 times in total, most recently Mario & Luigi: Brotherhood.
Keigin should have received from Nintendo’s lawyers dozens of call notificationsto delete videos and close your YouTube and Twitch channels. But he did nothing and was even forced to send a letter to the Japanese company. where the notice is ridiculed and mentions that it has thousands of channels to stream all day long.
In addition, Keigin is accused of distributing software to bypass Switch protection and a pirated repository. Among other things, he boasted online that he helps anyone and everyone who wants Nintendo games for free and early. The Japanese company calculated this for him too.
Nintendo is seeking $150,000 for each violation. But it is not clear whether for the mentioned 10 games or 50 streams. In the first case it will be 1.5 million dollars (35 million CZK). In the latter – $7.5 million (179 million CZK).
A Japanese company has considered the help of others and wants $2,500(60,000 CZK) for each act of crawling. The idea is to download an unauthorized copy of games into Ryujinx, Yuzu or another emulator and then stream them. And $2,500 for each offer to help the public play emulated games by providing links to emulators, ROMs, and encryption keys.
