In just a week we’ll be getting a new Metro game. This is not a full-fledged sequel, which the Ukrainian-Maltese studio 4A Games is quietly working on, but “just” a VR spin-off. Metro Awakening from the creators of Vertigo Games, but fans of the writer’s work Dmitry Glukhovsky they still have something to look forward to. And if you’re already jumping into the ceiling of a subway tunnel out of excitement, or aren’t into virtual reality but want to see what your friends equipped with VR headsets will soon be able to play, now you can watch first 7 minutes of prologue gameplay.
The prologue of Metra Awakening takes the player in the role of the protagonist Serdar, who will become the popular Khan as the game progresses, to Polyanka Station. Additionally, recently released gameplay footage shows several traditional elements of the Metro seriesfor example, play the guitar, sit by the fire near the security post, or shoot mutated nose-bearers with a machine gun.
