17 years since the release of The Witcher. A new trilogy and a remake of the first part – INDIAN – are being created.

30 years of PlayStation, 20 years since the release of Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas and 17 years since the first Witcher. This year is full of interesting anniversaries. We look back at the products and games that made a significant impact on the video game industry. While Sony has prepared a bigger celebration and limited the number of consoles, controllers and more, Rockstar Games has remained silent. Fortunately, CD Projekt did not miss the opportunity and invites you to another adventure.

“The Witcher 1 came out 17 years ago, and we all had high hopes for it. I was present at its launch and had no idea that the company would have come this far, so many years later. I can’t wait to tell you more about what the future holds.. Of course, when the time comes ;)” wrote Michal Nowakowski from the board of CD Projekt.

CD Projekt’s future is tied together the beginning of the new Witcher trilogywhich is created on Unreal Engine 5. The whole name is shrouded in mystery under the working title Polaris. Another one is created next to it remake of the first Witcher as well as an excursion into this interesting fantasy world. At the end of the summer holidays, Nowakowski announced that full-scale development of the new Witcher would soon begin. At that time, 410 of CD Projekt RED’s 639 employees were working on Polaris.
