New IPs from Bloober, pirate Yakuza and Remedy to open and close.
On Thursday evening, the Xbox Partner Preview presentation took place, during which we received several announcements and samples of already presented games from third-party developers. So, let’s discuss all the news clearly.
Alan Wake 2: The Lake House (new trailer and release date)
After the first expansion called Night Springs, which was light in many ways, Remedy is returning to survival horror. The Lake House DLC further links the second Alan to Control and sees us playing as FBC agent Kieran Estevez. It will be released on October 22nd on all platforms on which the original game was released. It will be available as part of the Deluxe Edition.
FBC: Firebreak (new announcement)
Remedy has prepared a little surprise for the last time, because it has finally announced the cooperative light shooter Control, which until now was codenamed Condor, now we already know it as FBC: Firebreak. It takes us back to the Oldest House, the title takes place after the events of the first Control, when the Hiss invasion has ended, but there are still many enemies and they will need to be eliminated. To do this we will use classic weapons, as well as various paranormal abilities.
This is the first multiplayer game from Remedy, and also the first game that the Finnish studio is self-publishing. FBC: Firebreak will be released on PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S next year. It will be available on both Game Pass and PS Plus Extra/Premium subscriptions on release day.
Cronos: The New Dawn (new announcement)
And the Polish team Bloober also surprised. Shortly after the release of the successful remake of Silent Hill 2, he announced another project, this time a completely new IP called Cronos: The New Dawn. It is expected to mark the start of a new phase for the studio, which is now moving entirely from “walking simulators” to survival horror. Kronos beckons with its post-apo sci-fi setting combined with the brutalist architecture of 1980s Poland. We will have to survive in an inhospitable landscape full of monsters and travel through time to save people who did not survive the apocalypse.
Cronos: The New Dawn will be released next year on PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S.
