Producer Mark Rubin from Ubisoft Los Angeles repeats that he has no plans to stop supporting the shooter XDefiant. This time he refutes the words of the alleged developer, who appears on the X network under the name Shawn Weber. He claims that if the game’s performance does not improve, support will end after the fourth season. Trusted journalist Tom Henderson has already spoken about a possible ending after the third season.

“To be clear, there is no end to season four planned. Just last week I attended meetings where we discussed our plans for the second year. However, we are now focused on improving the technical state (including netcode) and creating content for the third and fourth seasons,” Rubin writes.

Although Rubin had previously played down rumors of XDefiant’s problems, Yves Guillemot, head of Ubisoft, later confirmed the poor results. The producer explains: “We did very little marketing, so yes, our numbers are lower. But this is just to give the team time to get the game into a better state before we start spending more money on marketing to attract new players to the game and bring back existing ones. [XDefiant] they left.”

XDefiant is just one of Ubisoft’s problematic projects. For example, they must have failed in sales. Star Wars: Outlaws. A company’s long-term performance and direction are largely reflected in the share price, with investors pushing for a change in the ratio. According to recent reports, the Guillemot family is considering the possibility of purchasing the entire company in cooperation with the Chinese Tencent.
