Microsoft representatives announced the end of support for Age of Empires III, released on PC in 2007. First of all, this means that there was a well-known strategy withdrawn from digital distributiontherefore, you will no longer be able to buy it on Steam and other official stores.
The next step will happen on October 30th when servers will be disabled. This milestone will mark the end of multiplayer modes, which will no longer be playable after this date. However, single-player modes, led by Campaign and Skirmish mode, will still remain playable.
It is important to note that this will the definitive edition of the game remains fully availablereleased in 2020. In conjunction with the end of the original version of Age of Empires III and other older games, it’s worth noting the addition of a more prominent Steam notice that now more strongly warns players that they should not actually own individual games and are only purchasing a digital license.
