In recent months we have been able to read and see how developers are concerned that v Commando: Origins they are returning to their roots. Now we can see this for ourselves in a recently released demo.
The Commandos: Origins demo is available for PC (Steam, Microsoft Store) and Xbox Series X/S. There is no information about the PlayStation 5 version.
Demo version includes a special test missionwhich should be a harbinger of the complex game mechanics and stealth tactics that await you in the full version.
In the test mission you play as a Green Beret and a Marine. During World War II, they are sent to the Channel Islands, where they must use their abilities to disable a German radar system. You will be assisted by six different characters, each with their own abilities. With their help, you can discover “multiple paths to victory” as the gaming environment offers different approaches to achieving your goal. You will sneak, climb and crawl, and also drive various vehicles.
The finished game Commandos: Origins will be offered 14 missions in authentic locations around the world, including the West Coast of Europe and the Eastern Front. The authors depict the penetration of an enemy base in the Arctic cold, the silent advance of a German submarine and fierce battles in the hot African desert. You can enjoy everything either alone or with a friend in online/offline co-op for two.
Active pausing was recently demonstrated. Commandos: Origins will be released this year, but there is no specific date yet. Versions are expected for PC, Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One, PlayStation 5 and PlayStation 4. Game on the same day on Game Pass.
