The DLC will be absolutely free for everyone.
At the very beginning of today’s State of Play, we got an announcement about the very well-received platformer Astro Bot for PlayStation 5. A short trailer previewed new content coming to the game sometime this fall, though an exact release date is still unknown. In any case, the DLC will be completely free for all owners of the base game.
And what exactly does the expansion bring? We’ll see 5 new speedrun levels, which represent the most challenging playthroughs of the otherwise relatively peaceful game. In addition, 10 special bots from various game series will be added, as we saw confirmation in the trailer of, for example, the soldier from Helldivers or Eve from Stellar Blade.
Asobi Studio Director Nicolas Doucet also thanked players for all the feedback. According to the developers, they are very pleased with how much joy Astra’s new adventure is bringing to players around the world.
