Last week, PC gamers were delighted by the release of another first-party game from Sony, God of War Ragnarök, which launched on PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5 consoles in November 2022. However, at this point, the game’s reception on PC can be described as quite controversial.

Despite the obvious qualities of the game itself and the well-managed PC port in terms of optimization and technical aspects, God of War Ragnarök may currently be boast an average rating of 68%which is a very low number for a title that is otherwise highly valued.

Looking at individual reviews, it is clear that there is a significant percentage of negative reviews. revolves around the requirement to create a PlayStation account. So to some extent the situation that followed the implementation of this condition in Helldivers 2 is repeated.

In God of War, many players also remind us that we are talking about purely single player gamewhich could certainly be done without the PlayStation account requirement. However, it doesn’t look like Sony has dropped that unpopular requirement among a significant percentage of PC gamers.
