Renowned developer Vince Zampella, who currently leads direction of the Battlefield series and Respawn Entertainment executives commented on the price of the upcoming PlayStation 5 Pro console in an interview with IGN. While he admitted that the price might seem a bit shocking at first glance, he thinks it’s definitely a good deal.

It is clear that he mentioned the benefits of a more powerful device for developers and gamers, as well as a price comparison with previous generation consoles. Adjusted for inflation, the PS5 Pro s at a price of $700 is not significantly different from its predecessors. According to him, it is definitely not the most nominally expensive console in history.

He also mentioned a comparison with a PC, which he believes will have comparable performance parameters. it definitely cost more. Zampella concluded by saying that he currently doesn’t know exactly what specific benefits the PS5 Pro will offer in the new Battlefield.

As with other games, DICE developers will have to continue consider less powerful console options led by the base version of the PlayStation 5 and the Xbox Series S console. Some time ago, the price of the more powerful PlayStation was also defended by the former head of Blizzard, which we reported in a separate news item.
