Two years ago, there were suggestions that the first part of the Horizon series might get a remake, at that time it was not yet clear whether it would be a remaster or a remake. In the end, we had to wait quite a long time for the new version, but now we know that it is very close, even if it has not been officially announced yet.

The game has appeared in the database of the American rating commission ESRB, thanks to which we already know that it will not be a remake, the game is called “Horizon Zero Dawn Remastered”, and it will be released on PS5 and PC.

Until now, Sony has mostly released remasters and remakes of games that didn’t have a PC version yet, but HZD was the very first game in Sony’s initiative to bring exclusives to PC, arriving there in August 2020. In addition, PS5 owners received a patch adding 60 FPS support.

So it’s hard to say what the new remaster will bring and whether it will feature any major graphical improvements. We probably won’t have to wait long for an official announcement.
