Developers from the Ukrainian studio GSC Game World announced a document that will outline the development of STALKER 2: Heart of Chernobyl. Work on the anticipated post-apocalyptic event was significantly affected by Russia’s invasion of Ukraine, after which development was temporarily suspended. Most of the team subsequently moved to Prague, where development of the game could continue.

But some of the developers remained in Ukraine, where they joined the defense against Russian aggression as part of the local armed forces. We can remind you in this direction developer Vladimir Yezhovwho died in the battle for the strategically important city of Bakhmut in early 2023.
