Floods are devastating the Czech Republic, Slovakia and other neighbouring countries. Heavy waters destroyed homes in Jeseník over the weekend, part of Ostrava is being evacuated today, and Olomouc and the South Moravian Region are preparing for problems. South Bohemia and other parts of the country are also under threat, with rivers and streams rising, trees falling and people without power.
As in similar situations, public collections are being created.
