It was a month ago Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 has been delayed from the end of this year to February next year. The developers at Prague Warhorse Studio have requested more time to fix bugs/issues and tune up overall performance.
Now, as revealed in a new interview, they’re also working on improving performance on consoles. It looks like they’ve seen more progress, as executive producer Martin Klima says 60 frames per second is achievable on the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X.
“Kingdom Come Deliverance 2 is not finished yet, so we are still working on the game, but 60 frames per second is quite achievable,” Klima told Wccftech in August at Gamescom in Cologne, Germany.
Let’s recall that at the end of May at Game Access in Brno, executive producer Martin Klima spoke about 30 frames per second. As for the resolution, it was supposed to be 4K on PS5 and Xbox Series X and 1440p on Xbox Series S.
Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 Executive Producer Praises close cooperation with Crytek. This allowed them to use the latest version of CryEngine and keep their modifications from the first medieval adventure. While this is not the same CryEngine used in Crytek’s Hunt: Showdown, it is very close.
Klima also confirmed the use of technologies like Nvidia’s DLSS and AMD’s FSR in the PC version.
Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 will be released on February 11, 2025 on PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S. All platforms will feature Czech dubbing and Czech subtitles.
