The path to perfect balance is difficult.

Elden Ring: Shadow of the Erdtree has been criticized by some players since its inception for being too difficult. The reality was, of course, quite different, since it was primarily about understanding the new format of optimization of the game world, which the studio bet on as part of the release of the new expansion. The difficulty itself remained more or less the same as in the base version of the game, so after a while everything “evened out” when exploring the game world, after which most encounters no longer presented a problem. Here, a lot was at stake on the players’ willingness to explore each location.

However, even cautious players who actively explored every corner encountered a problem at the end of the journey that was reduced after considerable criticism. In short, the final boss was too strong a juice, so he was eventually nerfed. However, some still felt he was not nerfed enough, so we have another update that adjusts the starting moves of the final enemy of this expansion and even adds a few new ones. However, for the news, he is “punished” by reducing the effectiveness of most of his attacks.
The balance changes are not limited to this cool warrior. They also apply to PvP or equipment, as they also need to be optimized. The new update also brought countless fixes. You can find the full list of news here. Patch 1.14 is available in Elden Ring: Shadow of the Erdtree on PC, PlayStation consoles, and Xbox.
