Remedy has entered into a close partnership with the publisher.

The team’s renowned creative lead, Sam Lake, says of the brands’ expanded presence across other mediums: “I’m absolutely thrilled to be able to expand the story of Alan Wake and our entire Remedy Connected universe into media beyond gaming, all while working closely with games, film, television and other media under one comprehensive vision.”
Remedy bought the Control brand from original publisher 505 Games in February of this year, just as it had previously acquired the rights to Alan Wack from Microsoft. On the other hand, he still owns Quantum Break. In addition to a full-fledged Control sequel, the studio is also preparing a multiplayer spin-off called Concord and remakes of Max Payne and Max Payne 2.
