From the volunteer group of fans who created the mod. Fallout Londonwill become an independent studio in the future. Dean Carter of Team Folon has also committed to providing additional support for this ambitious mod. There are several smaller stability and bug fixing patches in the works, as well as a larger update coming soon. new contentwhich was not included in the original version. Between it is a new ending (Wild Card).
If all goes well, most of them should arrive by the end of the year; the first patch, numbered 1.1, is out now, fixing issues with 27 quests and adding 12 new items to the workshop. Once the creators are satisfied with the state of Fallout London, they plan to open an independent studio and work on their own ideas, making their own games and working with the community without having to talk to someone above them, as is the case with Bethesda from Fallout.
Carter in an interview with the BBC thanks the community for the amazing support and acceptance of Fallout London. The ambitious mod has become the fastest-downloaded game on GOG.com, with over half a million downloads in the first 24 hours. Despite being free, players have supported and continue to support the team of volunteers who have been working on the mod for several years, including financially. And it is this money that Team Folon will use to create an independent company.
In an interview with VG247, Carter also revealed that the mod was originally supposed to include horse riding, but the old engine couldn’t handle it. During testing, the horse couldn’t be grounded, causing it to literally jump all over the place, even jumping over entire buildings. The post-apocalyptic world, covered in car crashes, trash, and mountains of sand, didn’t help either. This is the biggest change from Skyrim, where the horses behaved strangely, but the world was very flat, save for the mountains.
