This is an attempt to bring the legend into a new era in full force.
Age of Mythology: Retold is just a few weeks away from release, and its creators are enjoying a fair amount of attention, which even led to an interview with Windows Central. They asked the front-line developers about some of their work. One of the big topics was the idea of the hardware limitations that the original game faced. According to the creators, they have largely been removed, which in practice means that you are in for a truly mythical endeavor. Single-use abilities? Never again. This time, you will be able to truly use the powers of the gods in a big way.
The monsters have also been improved. This time they are noticeably scarier than in the original version. According to the creators, the balance, which the studio struggled with for a long time, was demanding. But in the end, thanks to a series of game tests, the authors managed to solve this problem in their favor. The game is fully optimized for the console, so mastering it should not be a problem for players. The developers themselves describe it as unprecedentedly accessible, which, of course, does not mean that in the long term it will not be aimed at eSports. However, what the reality will be, we will see on September 4, when Age of Mythology: Retold is released on PC, Xbox Series X / S, as well as on Game Pass.
