Czech studio Charles Games has unveiled a new game

This time we will go to the period of the Velvet Revolution.

Developers from Prague-based studio Charles Games announced new game called Velvet 89which follows in the footsteps of Attentat 1942 and Freedom 1945: Liberation. In another historical game, this time the authors take us to the period of the Velvet Revolution. During the game you will visit a total of 4 cities and 6 demonstrations that triggered the Velvet Revolution.

“Velvet 89 takes you on a journey through a turbulent country – from environmental protests in northern Bohemia to the moments immediately preceding the intervention at Narodni Trid to the general strike in Ostrava. See familiar places with new eyes and explore those often forgotten in the history of the Velvet Revolution.” Representatives of Charles Games describe the game’s setting.

Following the example of the studio’s previous historical games, the title will be based on a combination of hand-drawn illustrations and historical footage. Within the framework of the game mechanics, the authors attract with quest gameplay and more than 40 stories of different people. In addition, they were again in development experts and witnesses are also called inwhich should ensure the necessary historical accuracy.

“Velvet 89 was created in collaboration with experts from the Stories of Injustice project. Every sentence and story in the game is based on eyewitness accounts of the events of that time.” Authors supply. Velvet 89 will be released on October 17th on PC (Steam) and on mobile platforms with Android and iOS systems. It is also worth noting that the game will be available on all the mentioned platforms absolutely free of charge.
