In the realm of story-driven RPGs with complex turn-based combat, Baldur’s Gate 3 is the best you can find in the genre. Larian Studios has polished its name so much that competitors have little chance of eclipsing it in the eyes of players. Perhaps that’s why many in the community would like to see the company work on a sequel. Apparently, the game was an alternative to the creation of Baldur’s Gate 4.

The studio even worked on a “sequel” for a while. According to Sven Vincke, this situation could have been played. But the developers realized that this would not be the ideal path, because after the success of Baldur’s Gate 3, the fans’ expectations would be too high. In addition, they did not want to work on the “same” issue for three years again, so the company focused on developing two new projects that were created simultaneously. If you haven’t picked up Baldur’s Gate 3 yet, you can find it on PC, as well as on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S.
