They worked with the AlzaPC GameBox Prime computer kit. What to expect from the upper mid-range? Absolutely smooth gaming in high resolution 1440p. The kit offers a balanced configuration of the aforementioned Gainward GeForce RTX 4070 SUPER Ghost graphics card and an Intel Core i7 12700KF processor. A fast 1TB M.2 NVMe SSD and 32GB RAM at 3200 MHz round out the excellent connectivity and design.

The first part is dedicated to familiarization with the test setup and clearly and simply describes the technological purpose of DLSS.

“Deep Learning Super Sampling (DLSS) is a sophisticated AI algorithm. Super Resolution upscales a lower resolution display to a higher resolution, increasing card performance while maintaining high image quality. Frame Generation calculates entire image frames, significantly increasing frame rates in compatible games. Ray Reconstruction focuses on ray tracing and the effects of light, highlights, and reflections, resulting in even more accurate detail.”

In the continuation of the introductory part on the PCTuning.cz website, you will, among other things, read what other topics our colleagues will cover and you will be able to watch the first illustrative videos.

The second part of the series on the PCTuning.cz website is dedicated to detailed tests of new games using NVIDIA graphics chip technology. In particular, the “Super Resolution” function, which colleagues tested in the horror Alan Wake 2 or in the action adventure Horizon Forbidden West.

Super Resolution is the core of DLSS 2, which began using the Tensor cores. The GPU generates a lower-than-original screen resolution, which is then added to the higher one over several frames using an AI algorithm. In many modern games, you’ll find this technology in the graphics settings, where you can choose profiles from quality to super performance. If you turn off Super Resolution, the cores can focus on DLAA — Deep Learning Anti-Aliasing, which is used to better smooth out the edges of an image.

In the test, games were loaded on the Gainward GeForce RTX 4070 SUPER Ghost card with a final resolution of 2560×1440 pixels. The frame rate varied significantly in different games, and in some of them an increase of up to 216% was observed. What specific values did colleagues measure? Continue the original article.
