The ZOOM Platform digital store is best known for the time it miraculously managed to secure a permanent license to sell otherwise unavailable Duke Nukem games. Alternatively, for how easily its name can be confused with the communications platform Zoom. Similar to rival GOG, but sometimes I’ll try to breathe life into old games and make sure they are playable on modern computers and accessible to future generations. The latest projects of this effort, which often leak onto Steam, are also the first two parts of the cult racing series FlatOut.
The people from the ZOOM Platform store specifically focused on the classics. They are becoming thinner since 2005 famous and a year younger Flat exit 2. Both games received surprise Saturday updates on Steam, the common denominator of which is support for Steam Workshop, trading cards, and Steam Deck. And what else, they now have the original official czech localization in the form of subtitles. Previously, it was only available in boxed versions, distributed here by the American company Action/TopCD.
