Developers FromSoftware today released the first free update for the Shadow of the Erdtree DLC, which expanded the award-winning Elden Ring last week. Update number 1.12.2, which the developers themselves call a calibration, is dedicated to adjusting the difficulty. In particular, it was strengthening the Skadutri blessing system. It’s built around collecting fragments of the game world, which you can then use on your character to increase your attack and defense levels.
Although the authors themselves have not officially confirmed this, apparently this is a response to criticism from some players who, in addition to partial technical shortcomings and the behavior of the selected bosses, complain that the difficulty is too high. The result of this criticism is mixed reviews on Steam, which we informed you about in a separate newsletter at the beginning of the week. Elden Ring: Shadow of the Erdtree is available on PC (Steam), as well as on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One and Xbox Series X/S.

Wow, I didn’t expect this: In response to criticism from players, FromSoftware simplified their latest DLC. They further strengthened the Scadutree blessing system, which in the original version I already found too strong 😶 https://t.co/DExY2HlxZZ
