The award-winning role-playing game Baldur’s Gate 3 has received a number of free updates and improvements since its full release last September. However, the time will soon come when the developers from the Larian studio they move on to other projects. This was hinted at by studio head Sven Vincke in an interview with UK Eurogamer, who said that the developers are currently focused on refining modding tools.
According to Vincke, the addition of official support for custom modifications, which should happen in September, will be exactly the moment when they hand the game over to the players themselves. After this point, the developers will only address possible technical issues and major bugs related to Baldur’s Gate 3.
No more content updates players will not wait along the official route. Thanks to this, the studio will be able to fully devote itself to the development of two as yet unspecified games. Baldur’s Gate 3 is available on PC (Steam), as well as on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S.
