The fourth installment in the Metroid Prime series was announced seven years ago. But in 2019, there was a complete reboot, and the game returned to Retro Studios, which also took care of the original trilogy. Since then there has been almost complete silence about the game, until today’s Direct. We finally got our first preview, and it happened right during the game.
In the gameplay footage, we can see the main character Samus Aran, iconic enemies and abilities. By the way, the game, like the previous parts, received the subtitle Beyond.
Unfortunately, we don’t know the exact release date, but at least we know that the game will be released next year. So far, Nintendo has only announced the Switch as a platform, but it’s likely that this will be a cross-generational title that will also be coming to the next console, which we’ll tentatively call Switch 2.
