In October 2021, we informed you that a game was being developed based on the film series A Quiet Place, known in the Czech Republic as Tiché místó. It was supposed to be a game from the Canadian studio iLLOGIKA, which includes veterans of Ubisoft, and the publisher was supposed to be Saber Interactive. However, the announced release in 2022 never happened, and since the announcement there has been silence on the official Twitter account. But today the situation has changed.
We saw the presentation of the game “A Quiet Place: The Road Ahead.” It is completely unclear whether this is an original project. The only thing that hasn’t changed is the publisher, which is still Saber Interactive, although now independent, it was until recently controlled by Swedish giant Embracer. However, mentions of the iLLOGIKA studio completely disappeared, and instead we learned that the equally interesting Italian studio Stormmind Games is behind the game. They are the authors of the horror series Remothered, as well as, for example, the isometric action adventure Bora: Lost Haven.
The Road Ahead is a first-person mountain adventure and is not a direct adaptation of the film series, which will have a new addition in a few days, but a spin-off with its own story. We take on the role of a young woman who must survive not only a terrifying apocalypse, but also family problems and inner demons. Of course, most of the gameplay will consist of stealth passages, where it is extremely important not to make a sound. We can also count on different options for completing these segments, the correct use of the environment will be important.
The game will be released on PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. We don’t know the exact release date yet, but it should be out this year. For now, you can add the game to your wishlist on Steam.
The path forward is paved with the right decisions. Get ready to survive in a world of immersive atmosphere and insane horror, where even the slightest sound can lead to disaster.
