Last year, while introducing the new iPhone mobile devices, Apple also announced an initiative to bring AAA PC/console games to mobile platforms. For now, exclusively on the iPhone 15 Pro, which is the only one equipped with the latest A17 Pro chip. One of the first companies to start porting was Capcom, which last year managed to release mobile versions of Resident Evil Village and a remake of Resident Evil 4, which received detailed analysis from Digital Foundry. Now Japanese developers have announced that they are preparing even more conversions.
iPhone 15 Pro players will soon be able to look forward to 2017’s Resident Evil 7 coming out now. July 2. Besides mobile phones, it also targets iPads and Macs with an M1 chip or later. But that’s not all, Capcom also immediately announced the development of a port of the 2019 remake of Resident Evil 2, which is aimed at the same platforms, but we do not yet know the release date.
Let’s see how the transformation goes. In both cases, these are already old things that were originally only released on last-gen consoles, so the ports could be better than RE4 and RE8. They can be played, but of course not without problems.
Welcome to the family, son!
