Expectations all around Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 grow. The sequel to the medieval RPG from Prague studio Warhorse is being closely watched, with fans eagerly awaiting more details following the announcement trailer and detailed presentation.
We were a little surprised to see them during the lecture. producer Martin Klima on Game Access in Brno. There were a few technical details and, unfortunately, also confirmation that Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2, which takes place around Kutná Hora, will be the next game to run on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S consoles. only at 30 fps.
As for the resolution, on PS5 and Xbox Series X it will be 4K, although it is not specified whether it is native, and on the weaker Xbox Series S only 1440p, reports Zing.cz. Given the complexity, I personally would expect the image to be upscaled to 4K rather than native. This isn’t even expected in an open world RPG.
Given this information, it doesn’t look like we’ll have a choice of graphics mode on consoles to either focus on better graphics or better framerates. The quality will be better only on computers. Console owners can at least rejoice that Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2, according to the producer Works stably above 30 frames.
At the lecture, Martin Klima spoke about the limitations this poses. less powerful Xbox Series S. 10 GB of memory greatly limits the ambitions of developers. Since the Series S has 25% more memory than the previous generation, their goal was to make the game 25% bigger as well.
And lastly, Klima was not afraid to rub himself into errors and problems, which haunted the previous episode. The latter should have had less than 49,000 errors, while the development of the second part should have counted almost 280,000. Of these, approximately 204,000 should have already been repaired. However, Klima expects to overcome the threshold of a thousand registered errors. So hopefully the biggest ones will be chosen for release.
Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 is scheduled to release this year for PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S. It will be on all platforms Czech dubbing and Czech subtitles.. We should see a new video soon, possibly during the Summer Game Fest.
