Over the past few years, we’ve had more than our share of cases where we’ve received a broken or grossly underdeveloped product upon release of an anticipated game, or an unsatisfactory result from over-marketing. However, along with this there are also redemption stories in which the creators of a poorly received game don’t give up and ultimately defeat the gamers. Just think of No Man’s Sky. But sometimes, no matter how hard a developer’s efforts are, they can’t completely erase the memories of a bad start, which is why we’ll likely forever face our fair share of disdain and prejudice with games like Star Wars: Battlefront 2. and ridicule, even if redemption has been achieved.
