After some time, speculation arose again that 2K Games should take over the license for the FIFA football series. According to an insider with the nickname MoxPlay Inc. already in the past a contract was concluded between 2K and the International Federation of Association Football. At the end of 2022, it ended its long-term collaboration with Electronic Arts, which released last year’s part of its football simulator under its own brand, EA Sports FC.
The said insider further stated that due to the release of 2K Games’ flagship football game called FIFA 2K25 will happen later this year. If current speculation holds true, we can expect two big football matches in the coming months. Moreover, after a long time, the developers from EA Sports will have to face ambitious competition.
2K has received an official FIFA license to create the next FIFA video game!
The partnership has been confirmed and 2K will be developing a new series of football games.
