SteelSeries is expanding its line of gaming headphones with the new model Arctis Nova 5. This will be a mid-range model that, at a price of less than three and a half thousand crowns, will attract computer and especially console gamers.
The design of the Arctis Nova 5 borrows a number of elements from more expensive models. For example, a design with a comfortable head strap, where we find an elastic strap that distributes pressure on the head. Once again, we have a fully retractable ClearCast 2.X microphone with a wide 2kHz/16-bit bandwidth for clear, clear communications.
Console players can look forward to a new product in the form of a special mobile application, the Nova 5 App. It is available for Android and iOS. There are a number of profiles and equalizers you can set in the app, even if your headphones are connected to a console where you normally can’t change the sound. Thus, console players can enjoy more than 100 pre-installed audio profiles.
Wireless connectivity is provided by a 2.4GHz USB-C receiver and Bluetooth 5.3. You can quickly switch between wireless modes with the new Quick-Switch feature. Profiles for Bluetooth and 2.4 GHz can be saved separately, so you can enjoy audio tailored for a console shooter, for example, while still clearly hearing your mobile phone call via Bluetooth.
The new product offers increased battery life up to 60 hours and even faster charging. In 15 minutes you get 6 hours of stamina.
Compatibility is provided with Xbox, PlayStation and Nintendo Switch consoles. Of course, full PC support and the Sonar app have also been retained. You can also connect the headphones to phones and tablets using a USB-C receiver, or use them for Bluetooth connectivity.
