The number of physical and digital copies of Shin Megami Tensei V removed and sold worldwide exceeded 1 million copies. The announcement from Atlus is accompanied by special illustrations of the protagonist Nahobin by character designer Masayuki Doi.

Shin Megami Tensei V is the latest entry in the Shin Megami Tensei franchise. The game was released in Japan on November 11, 2021 and in the West on November 12, 2021 as a Nintendo Switch console exclusive. Like previous games in the Shin Megami Tensei series, here we follow the fate of the protagonist, who can fight more demons, get more, and then combine them into stronger forms. After merging with a god-like being, the protagonist must travel through a post-apocalyptic version of Tokyo known as Daath.

The latest release reportedly includes sales of physical and digital games worldwide, but less than two months after its release, Atlus announced that over 800,000 copies of SMT V had been sold worldwide. Although since then, monthly sales volumes have skyrocketed. dropped, sales of Shin Megami Tensei V are still significantly higher compared to previous installments in the series. In addition, Atlus has given a 30% discount on all versions of Shin Megami Tensei V, which can be downloaded from the Japanese Nintendo Switch store. The discount sale will run from April 25 to May 11, 2022.
