FPS Escape From Tarkov has been among the popular games for a long time. However, even such beloved projects cannot completely avoid criticism when the creators make a significant mistake. Proof of this is the new, very unpleasant situation around this wonderful work. The community seemed to be outraged by the release of the Unheard Edition, a new version of the game selling for a cool €250. Several factors have angered the gaming community. One of the main problems is the fact that the PvE mode it brings is only available to those who buy it, and the original buyers will be deprived of it, which seems unfair to them due to the promises of the developers, since the studio promised that DLC content would be provided free for players.
The studio approached this “problem” quite cunningly, as evidenced by the statement of the community manager: “This is not DLC, it is a unique feature added to the new edition. DLC stands for Additional Downloadable Content. PvE is a feature and a game mode. Just because y’all want it to be DLC doesn’t mean it is. This is a special game mode for the new edition of the game.“
However, this is not the only thing the community is complaining about. Another factor is the fact that this edition contains many game bonuses. That’s why some call it “Pay to win” version. The player community was not very enthusiastic about the overall situation, so the studio Battlestate Games reduced communication on its channels. However, it was clearly stated on Twitter that you will not be able to play this mode without purchasing the new version. Escape From Tarkov is currently only available on PC.
