According to journalist Tom Henderson’s sources, the reboot is indeed over. In Montreal, everything started from scratch, with a new scenario, gameplay concept and approach to the game’s form. Once again, the developers want to prioritize a more realistic presentation over the stylized graphics that were originally intended.

There will be new animations, the motion capture had to be done again. The cast will also change. Yuri Lowenthal will no longer play the lead roledespite the fact that he voiced the prince not only in the remake trailer, but also in the 2003 original.

Insider Gaming has revealed footage from the current version of the game, suggesting that the game is still in early development. While Ubisoft is expected to officially share details soon, according to some sources, it looks like the game’s new look won’t be revealed, let alone released, anytime soon.
