Developers from the Kunos Simulazioni studio recalled the upcoming new part of the Assetto Corsa racing series. Most notably, we saw the release of the teaser trailer embedded above. Next we learned that the game will be called Assetto Corsa Evo. and will be released sometime this year. We have known about the development of a sequel for a long time. The authors provided the latest information a year ago, when they started talking about a release this spring.
However, after a further delay, the release will most likely happen sometime in the second half of the year. The game must deliver emphasis mainly on modeling and realistic handling of circuit racing. In terms of content, it was previously mentioned about a wide range of various equipment, thanks to which the sequel should be closer to the first part of 2014. The new spin-off, subtitled Competizione, will, on the other hand, focus only on relatively niche racing in the GT category.
Assetto Corsa Evo should be released on PC, and, following the example of its predecessors, possibly on consoles.
